My +165 Bets and Girls who date "Jerks"

So recently I have taken a break from betting. I normally bet on Bodoglife.com, a very successful online betting service. I wanna tell you that i stopped betting because i was losing a lot of money! My Bodog account is at nil! To begin, I must tell you how Bodog works and how are payouts decided.

Detroit Pistons +165
Boston Celtics -140

This bet as shown above tells you that the Pistons are the underdogs for this game. If you were to bet a dollar, you would win $1.65 giving a total payout of $2.65 (1 + 1.65). If you were to bet on Celtics, which is the team favored for the game; for every dollar you bet, you win 60 cents. Hence, a total payout of $1.60 (1 + .60).
Being a Detroit fan for a few years, I would bet on them to win the game. Apart from basketball, I love to bet on a lot a other sports and I like to make a lot of bets too. Most of my bets range from a dollar to ten at most. The small amounts allow me to make many number of bets.

From Bodog, I have realized that I love to bet on bets that are +165. I know that I am betting on the underdog. I know that I have a higher chance of losing money if I am betting on the team that is less favored. Then why do I do it? Why do I do it so often? What I do know is that I love the thought of winning my +165 bet. I like the idea of winning on a +165 bet than a -140 bet. I feel the rush every time I put money on +165 bets. Then I thought of a parallel to what I felt comparing it to complaints that I had heard from other girls in person and on TV. I had always heard girls complaining about the guys they went out with and what a "jerk" he was. And I had heard it time and time again from the same girls. I thought to myself, and wanted to suggest; "Then stop dating jerks". But now I realize, its easier said than done. I see now what those girls thought. A lot of girls out there like to date guys who are superficially/physically very good and that gives them a lot of excitement. (Which is understandable). Not to get into relationship detail BS, but when these girls are seeing these superficially attractive guys, everything is great but as things progress to get more serious, these girls see that the guy is not faring well with the progress and turn out to be "jerks" and they break-up. All that excitement at the beginning led to a sad end. This whole description reminds me of my betting procedure emotions all the way. I find it exciting to bet on +165 since its superficially attractive as it will pay me more that what I bet. I place the bet and I am in a good mood till game day. As game begins, I see that the bet that I made was not the right one and less favored team does end up losing the game, no freaking surprise there. One common dream here for the girl who dates and myself is that we both hoped for our gamble to play out the way we wished.
Right now, both of us should have understood that the choice we made was the wrong one and we must not make it again. But I did make the +165 bet again, not the next day, but in week I did. And the same way, the girl went out with another "jerk" if not next week, but in a month she did. The time helped heal the past loss but it didn't teach well. We were both back to our evil ways. We both wanted that same excitement back in our lives just to be taught the same lesson again. I placed my crap bet over and over hoping to win one of them and the girl went out with "jerks" time after time hoping to win, as to find one of them who was good.

Q1. Are these girls gambling as they keep going out with these "jerk" guys?
Q2. Is the excitement of dating the "jerk" worth it to keep getting hurt time and again?

I must say that there is no combination better than placing an exciting +165 bet and winning it, just like dating a superficially good guy who happens to be a good guy overall.
In conclusion, I must say that after making all those +165 bets, I won a few and lost most but overall my account on Bodog says zero dollars.
Lesson to learn here girls: Stop Dating Jerks!

Sera's Love is Wal-Mart

I just got done watching Leaving Las Vegas, where Nick Cage plays a drunk and is currently living with and taken care by a hooker named Sera. Sera had promised that she would never ask Nick to stop drinking. But as they spent more time and grew to love, that promise changed. She asked him to see a doctor.
And right before she asked him that, I knew that blackmail was coming. I could see it. I could see it just how Wal-mart haters see it now. I would like to compare Sera's love to Wal-mart. So, I would like to begin by describing how the Wal works. They come into a society, a community..that nobody desperately wanted. The come in, lower their prices on all goods they provide aka undercutting their costs, so as to drive all local businesses out of business. All the town people are now used to buying that product for cheap and there are no more local stores that can provide healthy competition to those low costs. After, people are used to the Wal prices = addicted to the Wal's ways. And Boom! The Wal raises its prices. Now, the addicted town people have no where else to go to buy the product since all local businesses are gone. They cough up the money and pay up to buy the product. The Wal will take the financial loss initially just so they can have their way with the customers for the rest of life/time they are there in the community.
Sera played a very very similar card. Sera's love, aka Wal mart, took the initial loss by accepting the drunk Nick Cage into her life. She took care of him, bought him presents and most of all embraced his drunkeness. She showed that she loved him, just how the Wal showed its people that it loved by lowering its prices. Nick Cage didn't want her love, really or desperately; just how the town people didn't want the Wal. But when both came, both parties, as mentioned above, were happy to have them namely Sera's love and the Wal.
Who knew (some did!) that they would spin such magic that the people who welcomed them would eventually get consumed and become dependants of their "love".
Nick Cage, the drunk and now the dependant, would have face the "raise in prices" in the form of seeing a doctor since that was a request asked by Sera's love. He had no choice but to "cough up his money and pay up" in the form of going to see a doctor since that is what Sera's love requested.

Now, people who have seen Leaving Las Vegas, will realize that Nick Cage never went to see the doctor since the story changed before he had a chance..but this is a good example of what could have been. Just beware of getting sucked in!
